The R4 Card is quite likely the coolest and most useful accessory for the NIntendo DS and the Nintendo DSi (The R4i SDHC Card is for the Nintendo DSi console).  More than allowing you to play games, it opens up and makes possible a whole slew of features and functions that had before it's release - not been possible on the DS or DSi.

You can watch movies on your NDS by converting your DVD's or DivX files to the supported moonshel format, and drag and drop them on to your R4 Card MicroSD and you'll be playing your movies and watching them on the go.  If you want to read ebooks, then the R4DS Moonshell makes that possible too - all eBooks in TXT format can be read right on your R4 Card.  What's amazing about the eBook function is that there are eBook readers costing upwards of $200 - $400 or more, and the R4 Card for the DS will let you read eBooks for under $30.00.
